You will also see equipment advancements in action during new facility tours, including a Red Bud Industries Heavy Gauge Slitting Line at JM Steel Texas, which is capable of processing material up to .500″ (12.7 mm) thick x 84” (2130 mm) wide, with a maximum coil weight of 105,000 lb (47,627 kg). The system includes a number of automated features that reduce personnel requirements and material handling.
